It has been a bit of a rough time for first time home buyers in the past year and a half. With the fixed terms going up, the Stress Test became unbearable for many.
The result was having to bring in parents to co-sign for mortgages they easily qualify for. Currently, due to the bond market the fixed terms have come down considerably and prime rate is expected to fall in the new year.
